He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; and his brother Vasile. He is survived by: his children, Marilena Paraschiv-Buican (Mircea), Adriana Filip (Marin) and Ioan Paraschiv (Anca); his granddaughters, Georgiana DesRosiers (John), Michelle Mann (John), Bettina Baciu (Alex) and Lorena Neamtu (Doru); his great grandchildren, Paige, Ilinca, Kinsley, Catinca and Cezar; and his sister Maria.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Clawson (1368 N Crooks Rd, Clawson, MI 48017). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Ghost Romanian Orthodox Church (31500 Ryan Rd, Warren, MI 48092).
