He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Wessel and Eileen Wessel (Essenmacher); his wife Susan Wessel; his son Alex MacKinnon Jr.; his grandson Jacob MacKinnon; and his siblings, Michael Wessel (Cheryl), Theresa Wessel, Susan Streeter (Chris), Gregory Wessel (Annalisa) and Carol Szewc (Ray).
