He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Evelyn; his parents-in-law, Levi and Thelma Steele; his brother Jim Rhoades; and his daughter-in-law Robyn Rhoades.
He is survived by: his wife Verlene Steele; and his children, Ted II (Amy), Tim, Terry, Tom (Laura) and Tami Bergman (Daryl). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
