He was predeceased by: his grandson Matthew Misner; and his brothers, Walter Champion and Jack Champion. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his children, William Champion (Beverly Pylman), Donald Champion (Diane) and Ellen Champion-Misner; and his grandson Richard Misner.

Memorial may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
