He is survived by: his children, Timothy (Nina), Steven Slater (Tracy), Lisa Harner (Jim), Jason Slater and Laura; his grandchildren, Michael Harner, Nicholas Harner, Patrick Sayers, Bryce Slater, Megan and Lance; and his brother Thomas.
