He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry H. Wickell and Mina C. Wickell; his wife Barbara Morawski; and his siblings, Lola W. Herring, Virginia Simmons (Paul Carver) of Fulton, June W. Russell and Daniel G. Wickell. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews, cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.
