With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard L. Chartier of Clarkston, Michigan, who passed away on June 11, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard L. Chartier to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parent Francis "Conk" Chartier (Margaret); and his siblings, Frank Chartier (Margaret) and Ann Ward (Harvey). He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Susan Chartier, Nancy Chartier, David Chartier (Janice), Dree Chartier and Bethny Lee Chartier; his grandchildren, Courtney Newton (Ron), Erin Kramer (Michael), Jennifer McVay, Kimberlee Cornillie (Jeff), Sarah York (Will), Andrew Wint (Kyle Kijorski), Samantha Wint (Paul) and Alex Wint (Lexie Causley); his great grandchildren, Tyrus, Bryant, Easton, Theo, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Alison, Quinn and Emmett; and his sister Marie Lowes (late Ronald).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations be made to two specific organizations, special to Dick's heart. (1) Michigan State Police Canine Unit. These donations are used to buy protective equipment for canines and handlers and are also used on occasion toward the purchase of new canines.
