He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert G. Mardney and Sadie E. Shammos; and his brother Albert Mardney Jr. "Sonny". He is survived by: his children, Patrick Mardney (Anne), Lynda O'Neil (Brian) and Susan Boyne (Kevin); his grandchildren, Christina O'Neil, Brendan O'Neil, Madison Mardney, London Mardney and Lauren Boyne; his sister Joy Darlene Piazza (Gasper); and his close friend David Mark.
