He was predeceased by: his parents, Glada Maxim and Athanas Maxim. He is survived by: his wife Effie; his children, Gloria Maxim, Tina Emerine (Jeff), Stacy LeVigne (Scott) and Matthew Maxim Jr. (Amanda); and his grandchildren, Alex Emerine, Niko, Athena, Lilianna LeVigne, Maggie, Matthew III, Anastasia and Gabriella Maxim.

Memorials may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
