She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Tippen and Rita Tippen (Staley). She is survived by: her husband Dave Hoffman; her children, Matt Tippen Hoffman (Landen Tetil), Erin Tippen Hoffman (Logan Watch) and Meghan Hoffman (Isaac Camacho); her grandchildren, William Isaac and Frances Tippen Hoffman; and her sisters, Kathleen Romberger (Martin), Maureen Tippen (Andrew Kerr) and Elizabeth Napier (Stephen). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Parks of Lake Superior Foundation, in Margaret's name.
