He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Jones and Emma Jones; and his siblings, Earlie Jones, Evelyn Cooley, David Lee Jones, Willie Jones, Mary Shelton, Gene Simpson and Lucille Jones.
He is survived by: his daughter Erica Jones-Hughes; and his brother Michael Jones. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
