He was predeceased by: his parents, John Finnerty and Florence Finnerty; his wife Joyce Finnerty; and his siblings, Marie Tobin, John Finnerty, Jr. and Susanne Vallie.
He is survived by: his children, Sheryl Cota (Dan), Gordon Finnerty (Barb), Annette Dinkleman (Doug), Kathy Richardson (Tom) and Lori Henige (Glenn); and his sibling Pat Finnerty (Sue).
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Coats Funeral Home (3141 Sashabaw Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48329). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gordon's honor to the American Heart Association or the Michigan Humane Society.
