It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary L. Dovre of Clarkston, Michigan, who passed away on December 5, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Dovre and Winnifred Dovre; and his sister Julie Patterson. He is survived by: his spouse Kellie; his sons, Eric L. Dovre (Cara) and William R. Mastick (Casey Watkins); his mother-in-law Joyce O'Brien; his sibling Pat Grybel (Michael); his brothers-in-law, Tim Patterson and Jeff O'Brien (Christie); and his nieces and nephews, Scott Shipman (Beth), Tammy Edelman (James), Amy Carey (David), Beth Earley (Paul), Jenna O'Brien and Brooke O'Brien.
In lieu of flowers and given Gary's love of the outdoors and all animals, please consider a donation to Waterford Parks & Recreation for the benefit of Hess Hathaway Park in memory of Gary Dovre where he shared special memories across generations with his sons and grandkids.
