He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Lovett and Edna Lovett; and his brothers, Dale and Wallace Lovett. He is survived by: his wife Edith; his children, Linda Sleep (Dale), Laura Hall (Jeff), Lana Anderson (Bruce) and Donald I. Lovett; and his sibling Jeri Sawyer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Apostolic Church of Auburn Hills for the Give Life Charities in Columbia. A charity for the Homeless Mother's and children and Elder Care.
