She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bill; her children, Kari Freevol (Jason) and Jeremy Swick (Regina); her grandchildren, Henry, Timothy, Liz, Jayne, Logan, Aiden and Darien; her parents, John Helzer and Janice Helzer; her siblings, Norm Helzer (Robin), John Helzer and Lori Ayotte (late Steven); her mother-in-law Margaret Swick (late William); and her siblings-in-law, Fred Swick, Carolyn Klein (Richard), Cynthia Swick and Sandra Seitz (late Ray). She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Cindy's family encourages donations to Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
