She was predeceased by: her son Jeff Hoeksema; and her parents, Ray Fannin and Helen Fannin. She is survived by: her husband Gordy; her children, Anne Smith (Scott) and Mike Hoeksema (Rose Gasiorek); her grandchildren, Jason Wesol, Megan Birman (Jim), Brad, Carrie and Samantha Hoeksema; and her great grandchildren, Will and Claire Birman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
