He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Messina and Maria Messina; and his brothers, Vito (Bill) and Jack. He is survived by: his wife Joyce "Sue"; his children, Susan Herbert (Frank) and James Messina (Tracey); his grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer (Sean), Katelyn, Margaret and Anthony; and his great grandchildren, Fiona and Desmond.
