He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonathan Rose and Lucile Rose (Crockett); and his daughter Virginia Steen (Rose). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Melvin; his children, Marjorie Wilhite (Rose) and John C. Rose, Jr.; and his sister Mary Fournier. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great grandson.
