It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Carter Rose Sr. of Clarklake, Michigan, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonathan Rose and Lucile Rose (Crockett); and his daughter Virginia Steen (Rose). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Melvin; his children, Marjorie Wilhite (Rose) and John C. Rose, Jr.; and his sister Mary Fournier. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great grandson.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church.
