He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cooper and Leona Cooper (Foster); his siblings, Dale Cooper, Carl Cooper, Faye Salinas and Ruth Funnell; his daughter-in-law Kathy Cooper; and his granddaughter Monica Bails.
He is survived by: his wife Nila Middleton of Clare; his children, Debbie Bails, Norm Cooper, Joe Cooper (Terri), Doug Cooper (Joy) and Russell Cooper (Amy) of Wayland, MI.; and his siblings, Calvin (Carol) of Clare, Clinton (Lucy) of Clare, Ken (Sharon) of Clare, Phil (Carol) of Clare, Richard Cooper of Clare, Jeanie Sprague (Lance) of Harrison and Kathy Peckens (Harold) of Farwell. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren.
