Mildred Vanacker Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mildred Vanacker of Clare, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 31, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mildred Vanacker to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Recker and Hazel Recker (Blake); her husband Buster Vanacker; her daughters, Cindy Lou Vanacker and Barb Newman; her granddaughters, Hannah Vanacker and Kimmie Newman; her great grandchild Brody Vanacker; and her brothers, Lyle, Leon and Oscar Recker.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Laverty (Joel), Mark Vanacker (Shelly), Mary Todd (Mark), Sue Rocheleau (Paul), Carl "David" Vanacker and Ann Vanacker; her brothers, Raymond Recker (Annabelle) and Edward "Smokey" Recker; and her son-in-law Dave Newman. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephenson - Wyman Funeral Home (1005 N McEwan St, Clare, MI 48617). A rosary was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Henry Catholic Church (4079 E Vernon Rd, Rosebush, MI 48878).
Memorial contributions in honor of Millie may be directed to either the Our Lady of Hope Parish, or to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
