He was predeceased by: his parents, William Riedel and Alice Riedel (Molhoek); his wife Connie Riedel; his sister Louise VanHaitsma (Bud); his nephews, Steve and Dale VanHaitsma; and also Rick Benchley.
He is survived by: his children, Lorie Sue Riedel of Clare, Kimberlee Marie Krchmar of Clare and Brian Duane Riedel (Kathy) of Marion; his great grandchildren, Joseph Riedel, Travis Krchmar (Jennifer), Ray McCall, LeAnn Welch (James), Tiffany Heidger, Matthew McCall, Michael Douglas (Samantha) and Rossi Blanka (Shakotah); and his brother Kenny Riedel (Rosemary) of Clio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Leaton United Methodist Church (6890 E Beal City Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
