He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Papesh and Jo Maxine Papesh (Seibt); his son David Papesh; his sister-in-law Sandra St. John; his sister Loretta; his siblings-in-law, Ken Warner and Susan Papesh; and his aunt Gail Renee Settles of Texas.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Papesh (Hess) of Clare; his children, Sherry Garver (Walter) of Farwell, Andrew Papesh of Clare and Brian Papesh (Royalyne) of Stanwood; his grandchildren, Sharayah Kler (Thomas) of Kingsley, Mi., Brandy Papesh, Catherine Beers (Adam), Nichole Stressman (Derrek) and Scout Graham (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Makinna Turner, Haylea Kler, Delilah, Lily Stressman, Emerly Beers and Morris Graham; his brothers, Jan Papesh of Texas and Ted Papesh (Denice) of Saginaw; and his brothers-in-law, Walter Hess (Sandy), Marty Miller (Janet) and Gary St. John.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephenson - Wyman Funeral Home (1005 N McEwan St, Clare, MI 48617). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Clare Church of the Nazarene (10160 S Grant Ave, Clare, MI 48617). A burial will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cherry Grove Cemetery (1000 Cedar St, Clare, MI 48617).
Memorial contributions in honor of Don may be directed to the Beaverton Baptist Church or the Doran Foundation for ALS Clinic.
