With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald C. Whalen of Chippewa Lake, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on December 3, 2022 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ronald C. Whalen to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Whalen and Lucille Whalen (Slenker); his siblings, Richard and Lois Rottschafer; and his son-in-law Mark Ferner.

He is survived by: his wife Arlene Whalen (Pranger); his daughters, Carol Popma (Greg), Linda Ferner, Susan Gill (Ellery) and Lori Myers (Craig); and his sister Neola Dykstra. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ronald's name to Chippewa Lake Community Church Building Fund.
