He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Marie Lange of Mary's Cathedral; his great grandchild Madeline Joan Birchmeier; his brother Carl (Majorie Birchmeier); and his brothers-in-law, Peter Young and Dallas Angst.
He is survived by: his sons, Norbert Jr. (Deanna) of Benton Harbor, Gerard of Chesaning, Steven (Lori) of Miamisburg and Joseph (Susan) of New Braunfels, TX; and his siblings, Alberta Young of Chesaning, Vincent (Winnie) of Chesaning, Elenor Birchmeier of Chesaning, Fred (Tony) of Chesaning, Marion Birchmeier of Chesaning, Dallas of Chesaning, Carolyn Birchmeier of Chesaning, Albert of Chesaning, Linda Birchmeier of Chesaning, Janice Angst of New Lothrop, Josephine Mary Birchmeier of Grand Rapids, Lawrence, Elaine Birchmeier of Owosso, Daniel and Janice Birchmeier of Ithaca. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
