He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Brainerd and Ellen Brainerd (Azelton); his close friend Diane Kerr; and his sister Betty Alexander. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Anders (Daniel) of Ovid, James Steck (Melanie) of Ovid, Ryan Brainerd (Michael) of Grand Blanc, Scott Brainerd (Jennifer) of Hemlock, Lisa Spencer of Ovid, Stacy Deming of Oakley and Kris Brainerd (Micah) of North Canton, OH; his siblings, Josephine Fockler (Bill) of Crystal, Ronald Brainerd of Oakley and Rick Brainerd (Deb) of Oakley; and his brother-in-law Maurice Alexander of Chesaning. He is also survived by many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
