He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Coon and Sadie Coon (Yarabeck); the mother of his children Cynthia Karren Cross; and his siblings, Carol Vrable, Gerald Coon, Tom Coon, Jim Coon and Marlene Streeter.
He is survived by: his grandson Elvis; his wife Sandra Coon; his sons, Jason Coon (Jennifer), John Coon and Lucas Coon (Natasha); his daughter-in-law Mona Cross of Chesaning; his stepdaughter Terra Fite (Brad) of Traverse City; his grandchildren, Davey Michael Coon, Haley Karren Coon, Alyvia Nicole Cross, Ian Frederick Coon, Oan Dennis Coon and Jacoby Alexander Coon; his great grandchild Michael David Coon; and his siblings, Diane Kulhanek and Randy "Kris" Coon of Chesaning. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
