He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Thompson Lichon (DeCaire) and Kenneth Thompson; his sister Barbara Thompson Denome; his sister-in-law Colette Nagel; and his stepbrothers, Ronald Lichon and David Lichon.
He is survived by: his stepfather Edward Lichon; his wife Kathryn A. Thompson (Brilliant); his children, Mark Thompson (Barbara) of Shawnee and Cheri Thompson Thiel of Chesaning, Michigan.; his grandchildren, David R. Thompson of New Hampshire, Emily Thiel (Paxton Ruddy) of Chesaning, Jackson Thiel (Abagail VanHaaren) of Chesaning and Sarah Amos (Kane Harmon) of Shawnee; his son-in-law Jeff Thiel; his siblings-in-law, William Brilliant (Frances), Michael Nagel and Marilyn Brilliant; and his stepsiblings, Kenneth Lichon, Keith Lichon (Georgia) and Janet Lichon Campeau (Jim Miller). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of David.
