Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara J Maike of Chesaning, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 94, on February 21, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Welch and Eva Welch (Hurst); her husband Leonard Maike; her daughter Jo Ellen; her grandson Zachary Ostrander; her sister Patty Wesley; and her sons-in-law, Thomas Lycka and George Kim.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Devereaux (Stewart), Sandy German (Roger), Carol Kim, Elaine Maike and Keith Maike (Jennifer Haber); and her grandchildren, Mark Devereaux (Kelley), Mandy Volk (Pete), Shasta Newton (David), Dawn McDonagh (John), Sherry Cervantes, Samantha German, Melissa Kim, Shelby Jo Maltese, Kalvin Maike, Brandon Maike and Shain Maike. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mcgeehan Funeral Homes - Martin Chapel (316 W Broad St, Chesaning, MI 48616). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 6:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (404 S Wood St., Chesaning, MI 48616).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiawassee County Humane Society.
