He was predeceased by: his daughter Susan; his granddaughter Heather; his parents, Fred Schultz and Lena Schultz; and his siblings, Don Schultz and Viola Buckey.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Schultz; his children, Arnold Schultz Jr. (Colleen), Alan Schultz (Nancy), Jill Thiel (Dennis), Karen Coughlin (Matt), Nancy Hilbrandt (Jerry), Sally Gainer and Jeff Alexander (Dana); his grandchildren, Brandi, Sean, Nicole, Joshua, Andrew Thiel (Olivia), Jessica, Justin, Joe, Ashley and Sam; his great grandchildren, John Dale, Alivia, Alyssa and Bentley; and his brother Everett Schultz (Sally). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
