Sylvia Kleanthous Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2024, at the age of 97, Sylvia Kleanthous of Chelsea, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sylvia Kleanthous to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Maropoulou and Athena Maropoulou (Gerakakis); her spouse Costas Kleanthous; her brother Emmanuel Maropoulou (Marica); and her daughter-in-law Elaine Kleanthous.

She is survived by: her children, Emmanuela Chris Brogden (Theodore) of Iowa Park, TX, Pamela Sue Smeltz (Kent) of Dornsife, PA and James Kleo Kleanthous of Chelsea; her grandchildren, Juliana Artemis Smeltz and Erik James Smeltz (Caitlyn); and her sister Nancy Roukoutaki (Costas).

A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church (3109 Scio Church Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103).
