He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Schaules and Alberta Schaules (Blieske). He is survived by: his sister Gayle Fletcher (Larry) of Chelsea; and his nieces, Kelly Boone (Ian) of Chelsea and Stacey Lott (Kyle) of Battle Creek. He is also survived by four great-nephews, and one great-niece.
