He is survived by: his parents, Emmett Matthew and Oleta Hankerd (Hutzel); his spouse Jeanette Mae Bertke; his children, Emmett Matthew "Matt" Hankerd (Rosemary) of Chelsea, Lou Ann Hankerd and Cheryl Pagliarini (Doug); and his grandchildren, Dan Kloosterman, Sean, Mike Hankerd, Patrick, Alexis, Derek Jolly, Stephen Hunert and Samantha Pagliarini.
