He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard F. Cavender and Maude E. Cavender (Owens); his wife Katherine Walters; his son Owen "Sparky"; his daughter-in-law Nina Cavender; and his brothers, Richard, Thomas and Dale Cavender.
He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Cavender, Alice Cavender of Chelsea and Katherine Cavender of Ann Arbor; his sister Theresa Dinser (Charles) of Whitmore Lake; his granddaughter Michelle Brown (Delmore) of Saline; and his great grandchildren, Owen and Kadence Brown.
