He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clare Albert and Eleanor J. Scriven (Riker); his wife Valerie; his daughters, Laura and Barbara Scriven; the mother of his children Valerie Scriven; his sister Connie O'Donnell; his niece Kathleen; and his nephew Michael. He was also cherished by many cousins and other very special friends.

The Lions were a huge part of his life and the charity work was a passion.
