With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Lawrence Butler (Chelsea, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on April 19, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Mervis and Elizabeth Butler (Cowan); his wife Margaret May Graham; and his sister Barbara Buccos. He is survived by: his children, Linda A. Cregan (Bill) of Chelsea, Sandra J. Riley (Rick) of Dexter, David J. Butler (Kathryn) of Commerce Twp, Michael J. Butler (Debra) of Commerce Twp, James L. Butler (Eileen) of Elmira, MI and Robert S. Butler of Livonia. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
