With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeannette Winans (Chelsea, Michigan), who passed away on January 7, 2020. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jeannette Winans to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert May and Esther May; her husband George; her son John; and her siblings, Ruby Strieter, Mary Hoelzer and Leroy May.

She is survived by: her sons, Curt Winans (Menuka) of Chelsea and Rob Winans (Lori) of Chelsea. She is also survived by two grandchildren; and her beloved nieces and nephews.

Jeannette was respected and very well liked in our small community, and she served it well by helping to set the foundation for the nursery school on Dexter-Chelsea Road and volunteering at Chelsea Community Hospital.

“I'm sorry, i will not make it to the service today for jeannette. La vonne and i were welcomed by george and jeannette 47 yrs ago, when we arrived in chelsea. We shared lots of things together, as good neighbors do. My prayers are with the family during this time of sorrow. Jeannette is at peace and i'm sure she is in heaven with her husband george.
