He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Bollinger and Beverly Bollinger (Fielder); his sister Sharon Capaldi; and his nephew Kevin Bollinger. He is survived by: his daughters, Heidi Traugott (Chris) of Chelsea and Kimberly (Jorge Rosario) of Chelsea; his brothers, Richard Bollinger (Marcy) of Chelsea and Donald Bollinger (Michelle) of Chelsea; his brother-in-law Ben Capaldi (Tom Bareis) of Florida; his grandchildren, Lidia, Braylon and Gibson; and his nephews, Donald Bollinger, Jr. (Jayma) of Chelsea, Derik Bollinger (Jennifer) of Chelsea, Grant Bollinger of Chelsea and Jake Bollinger (Megan) of Grass Lake.

Memorial contributions may be made to the James Bollinger Memorial Scholarship.
