He was predeceased by: his brothers, Jim Hastings and Pete Hastings; the mother of his children Joanne Sherbak; and his close friend Micki Baughn. He is survived by: his children, Mike Hastings (Kathleen) of Texas, Greg Hastings of Chelsea, Laurie Terhune (Brian) of Traverse City and Nancy Pagliarini (Dan) of Chelsea. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
