He was predeceased by: his parents, Dudley K. Holmes and Nancy Holmes (Brown). He is survived by: his wife Dawn DeWeese; his children, Kevin Holmes (Maleeda) of Pasadena, CA, Scott Holmes (Meghan) of Northville and Heather Holmes DeBlasio (John) of Chicago; his sisters, Diane Hall (Robert) of Grand Rapids and Susan Schrotenboer (Kim) of Grand Rapids; and his grandsons, Oliver, Parker and Emerson. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Chelsea District Library or Faith in Action.
