He was predeceased by: his parents, George Helek and Gladys Helek (Worden); and his half-brother Charles Rowe. He is survived by: his son Adam W. Helek (Courtney Stidham) of Pleasant Lake; his grandson Xander Hanson; his nieces and nephews, Jodelle "Jody" Sparks (Earl), Judith "Judy" Rowe (Patrick Watson) and Russell "Rusty" Rowe (Christine); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Julianne, Jeffrey, Jessica, Bradley and Enrique.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Herbert J. McKune Chelsea American Legion Post 31 or the Chelsea Community Fair.
