It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald A. Laier (Chelsea, Michigan), born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on April 28, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave Laier and Rose Laier (Merkel); his son Rodney A. Laier; and his brothers, Carl, Edward, Thomas, Lawrence and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Schneider (Penny); his daughter Linda Newman (Jacob) of Birmingham, AL; his sisters, Helen Laier and Mary Teresa Trumbull (George) of Spring Hill, FL; his granddaughters, Catherine Donohue and Taryn Hibbitt; and his close friends, Harold Burchett and John Drew. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
