He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his children, Linda Engel (Patrick) of Dexter and Leonard Schauer of Chelsea; his sons-in-law, Andrew Smith (Amy) of North Carolina and Douglas Sherman of Chelsea; his brothers, Carl Schauer (Ruth) of Whitmore Lake, Bruce Schauer of Ann Arbor and Albert Schauer (Margaret); and his granddaughter Amanda Smith of North Carolina.
