She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gelinas and Laura Gelinas (Auger); her husband Francis Elyea; her sister Rochelle; her brother-in-law Terry Nau; her brother Richard; and her sister-in-law Marian Gelinas (Robson).
She is survived by: her pet Shadow; her children, David, Dennis of Cheboygan and Janet; her son-in-law Phillip Gist of PawPaw, MI; and her grandchildren, Laura Gist of Essex Junction, VT and Zachary Gist of Michigan City, IN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Cheboygan County Humane Society.
