With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Joseph Platten of Cheboygan, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 16, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta Platten (Bert); his parents, Arthur John and Mary Louise Platten; and his brothers, Jack, Peter and Tommy Platten.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Marie Bresnahan (John) of Atlanta, GA, Mary Kathyrne Rosenbaugh (Don Chavez) of Cheboygan, MI, Martha Lynne Bodenhamer (J. Tracy) of Overland Park, KS, Patricia Aileen Campbell (Philip) of Melbourne, Australia, William Joseph Platten II (Wendy) of Pewaukee, WI and Peter Robert Platten of Glen Ellyn, IL; his grandchildren, Claire (Rhys Brennan), Carolyn and Michael Bresnahan; his children, Thomas, Daniel (Athena), Matthew Rosenbaugh (Meg), Sydney Fehr (Caleb), Spence Bodenhamer, Amy, Andrew, Natalie Campbell, Charles, Emmy Platten and Dillon Platten; his great grandchild Mina; and his brother-in-law Robert Massey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
