It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Scott Ellsworth Sandel of Cheboygan, Michigan, born in Alma, Michigan, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon D. Sandel and Jacquelyn M. Sandel; his parents-in-law, Ben and Margaret Bur; and his in-laws, Harold Lancour and Kristine Bur.

He is survived by: his wife Eileen Bur; his brothers, Mark (Anita) of Elwell and Lance of Alma; his niece Emiliee; his nephews, Colin and Charlie; and his caregivers, KaSandra and Jerry. He is also survived by his family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the family for donation to an organization that supports medical research (yet to be determined).
