He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Barrette and Rosalie Barrette (Rabideau); his wife Dolores Merchant; and his siblings, Bob Barrette, Lorraine Hutt, Irene Dempsey and Eileen Danko.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Curtis (Bill), Lisa Beseler (Rick), Shelia Spaniel (Bob) and Russel A. Barrette; and his siblings, Joyce Jacques and Ron Barrette (Hekaru). He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
