He is survived by: his children, Tim Thompson (Tanya MacArthur), Amy Birchfield (John "JB" Birchfield) and John Thompson (Sarah Boyce); his grandchildren, Caitlin Thompson, Connor Birchfield and Justin Leigh; his siblings, Dexter McNamara, Nelson LaPointe, Juanita Bonter, John, Penny and Ed; his siblings-in-law, Jack Matthews and Darlene Krueger; and his nieces and nephews, Robin, Bobbi Jo, Nelson, Wendy, Danette and Cully.
