It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Shampine of Cheboygan, Michigan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on March 11, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Shampine and Dorothy Shampine (Couture); his wife Gloria Fish (DeMara); his siblings, Thomas, David, Rita Gobeyn and Sally Shampine; his grandson Michael Ostwald; and his stepson Timothy Fish.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard J. Shampine and Craig Shampine; his stepchildren, Randy Fish (Lori), Marvin Fish and Christine Ostwald (Tim); and his siblings, NovaLee Niesen, Annette Sova (Bill), Marcia Shampine, Marlene Bongard (Craig), Cheryl Kwiatkowski, Kim Cook (Bruce), Denise Watts (Art), Peter Shampine and Lawrence Shampine. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
