He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland LaHaie and Gladys LaHaie (Kitchen); and his siblings, Roland, Jr., Jerry, Cathleen, Elaine and John.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry of Cheboygan; his children, Brian LaHaie of Grand Rapids, Melissa LaHaie of Muskegon and Matt LaHaie (Ashley) of North Carolina; his siblings, Ann LaHaie of Detroit, Mary Jo Powell of Lansing, Margaret "Peg" Stephens of Grand Rapids, Ron LaHaie of Cheboygan and Fred LaHaie (Joanne) of Clio; and his grandchildren, Hunter, Jarrid, Jade and Madeline LaHaie.
