With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Ruger of Cheboygan, Michigan, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on February 26, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Carol; his stepchildren, Jennings Couture, Timothy Couture, Scott Couture, Sheri Johnson and Michelle Stendel; and his son Joseph Ruger, Jr.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cheboygan County VA, the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
